The 2023 Moot Competition took place on 19–22 September 2023 at Makerere University School of Law. The competition that year attracted the participation of fifteen (15) universities. The UW Privacy Moot Court Competition 2023 was once again successful with a registered nine percent (9%) increment in the number of participating universities across the country.
The competition continues to gain momentum opening up opportunities to young law students to be nurtured with expert knowledge of data protection laws, policies, regulations and legal technological skills; and to further develop in-depth conversations necessary for this growing sector. Equally, UW appreciates the support from development partners and partnerships with PILAC, SORKI and other stakeholders in making the Moot Competition a reality.
